Not gonna lie, wearing head to toe white is one of my ALL TIME FAVORITE things to wear.

But maybe wearing white to toe isn’t as simple for you as it is for me?! Well, recently over a couple bottles of wine, I polled my girlfriends and asked them what concerns they had about wearing white…just in time for summer! Here are a handful of questions that the general consensus of the table had concerns about:

When can I wear white? Only Easter-Labor Day, or is it appropriate to wear white year round?

In my opinion, white is 100% socially acceptable to wear year-round! I love a pop of white jeans in the winter months when everyone one else is doting around in grey, black, and navy! This winter I showed how I pair white jeans with turtlenecks, booties, & outerwear HERE, HERE, and HERE!

Can I mix different shades of white? Like, cream, ecru, stark white, off white, ivory, etc?

Yes! The more the merrier! Consider it….50 Shades of White! That palette is such an easy way to layer tone on tone, or shade on shade….you TRULY can’t screw it up! I even like playing with textures, like linen white pants paired with a silky white blouse!

Is it ever okay to wear white clothes to bridal/wedding events when I am not the bride?

NO. NEGATIVE. HARD PASS. DON’T EVEN CONSIDER IT. Maybe this is the southerner in me, but I wont even wear a champagne or nude color to a wedding. The bride has waited her whole life for her standout moment, and I won’t come close to taking that away from her! I also steer clear of wearing white to bridal showers, luncheons, and bachelorette parties

How do I accessorize white?

WITH LITERALLY ANYTHING OR EVERYTHING YOU WANT! If you are rocking a head to toe white look, whether it be jeans & a top or a dress, you could add a pop of color in your heels, handbag, jewelry, or even a bright lip color! I personally love white & turquoise or white & leopard!
