The Only Bodysuit You Need This Winter

Bodysuit: Wolford // Jeans: Levi’s // Heels: Schutz // Headband: Lele Sadoughi // Bag: Hermes // Lips: Estee Lauder Burnt Raisin & MAC Velvet Teddy

Seriously won’t stop wearing this outfit.

I know it’s by no means anything groundbreaking. A simple bodysuit, boyfriend jeans, and black heels. But in this specific instance, its 100% quality over quantity. Last winter, I remember hearing Helena of Brooklyn Blonde, rave about how much she loved this bodysuit. I looked at the price tag and UMMMMMMMMMM $250?! I’M SORRY, what?!

I took a look inside my closet at the black bodysuit turtlenecks I already owned: one that was too thin, one that was too thick, one that wasn’t a thong bodysuit, one that was a thong bodysuit, and one that was an itchy fabric. WHY IN THE HELL WAS I HOLDING ONTO ALL OF THESE?! Well, I kinda liked them, but ultimately, I hadn’t found the ONE BODYSUIT to replace them all. I made the decision that I was gonna buy the Wolford bodysuit that had so many incredible reviews…..and I was ONLY ALLOWED TO KEEP IT if it could replace the 5 existing bodysuits….that was the only way i could justify the price tag, quite frankly!

Trying to explain why this bodysuit immediately trumped every other one is like trying to explain why avocado toast is so damn delicious. ITS JUST PERFECT. First off, the fabric is like a thick, thick, thick version of pantyhose…..but it doesn’t snag. There is no part of the fabric that is see through, but it has this lightweight quality, while also feeling like it sucks everything in and keeps you in place! Its thin enough to layer under a sweater or blazer, but thick enough to wear by itself. Y’all, I can’t explain it. You’re just gonna have to trust me on this. I wouldn’t buy (and keep!) a $250 bodysuit unless I REALLY, REALLY, REALLY was truly in love with it. And let’s not forget to mention that I’m pretty certain it’s already paid for itself with how much wear its received in just the last 8 weeks.

And there you have it: QUALITY OVER QUANTITY.
