From the untrained eye, you’d think since they walk alike and talk alike, that they must be twins….
…but the ItCosmetics Bye Bye Foundation Full Coverage Moisturizer & CC Cream are more like long lost cousins! I would consider myself a MASSIVE FAN of both of these products equally, but I can understand how one might not know the specifics of what makes them different and why you would want to reach for one versus the other!
First off, let’s discuss what THEY BOTH HAVE IN COMMON:
1) They include SPF50, 2) They are both full coverage with a glowy/dewy finish, and 3) Hyaluronic Acid (which holds 1000x its weight in water & is super hydrating!) is among the ingredients.
Now let’s break down each product specifically:
ItCosmetics Bye Bye Foundation Full Coverage Moisturizer: The main focus of this product is HYDRATION. When you are applying it, it basically feels like a moisturizer that just happens to also give you coverage of a foundation! If you are someone’s skin is on the drier side & traditional foundations dry you out even more, then this would be an excellent choice. In my opinion, Bye Bye is a better choice for all-day wear because it has 3D Flex Technology, which means its got pure color pigments that float on top of your skin without settling into your pores, fine lines, or wrinkles!
ItCosmetics CC Cream: The main focus of this product is color correction….get it?! CC = “Color Correction!” Upon application, you immediately notice how the CC Cream conceals redness & dark spots, and because its loaded with Niacin, its got vitamin B to help promote a more even tone & combat hyper-pigmentation. The texture of the CC Cream is *almost* identical to the Bye Bye, but in my opinion, a smidge thicker….almost like a traditional cream foundation. I absolutely LOVE the finish the of CC Cream, and for the first couple of hours of wear, prefer it over the Bye Bye because the coverage & glow really make your skin look like a walking Instagram filter….but because the texture is thicker, it settles after a while.
So it’s time to pick your poison: They’ve both got their pros & cons, but which formula is right for you?!
