When it comes to choosing a daily foundation for my makeup routine, SPF is non-negotiable.

Don’t tell me you can’t find one for your skin type. Don’t tell me you can’t find one with the type of coverage you desire. And don’t tell me there aren’t enough options out there and YOU’VE TRIED EVERYTHING…..because I LEGIT have tried them all and can vouch that there are, IN FACT, plenty to choose from!

As a woman who desires to protect her skin from the sun NO MATTER WHAT, I have made it a priority to include SPF anywhere I can get it in my beauty routine, and I want the same for y’all! Here are my favorite foundations with SPF, along with detailed descriptions as to why I love them, what type of coverage they have, and what to expect from each!

It Cosmetics Full Coverage Moisturizer, SPF50, $39.50: KERRently, this is probably my ultimate favorite. The coverage is FULL. Like, full, full. But what makes this product kindof an anomaly is that its actually a moisturizer…BUT IT LOOKS LIKE A FOUNDATION. It has a dewy finish (sorry if you are a matte lover you will HATE THIS) and your skin literally GLOWS. Stays put all day long and can cover redness & uneven skin tone like a champ!

It Cosmetics CC Cream, SPF50, $39: You truly can’t beat the $39 price tag paired with a SPF50! If you are someone who is on the dry side and doesn’t want a face caked full of matte makeup, then give this a shot. My sensitive skin mixed with humid Texas summers and whatever moisturizer I was using at the time didn’t love this product, but that doesn’t mean it would’t work for you! I have tons of friends who consider this their #1 holy grail item, so that speaks for itself!

COOLA Rosilliance Organic BB Cream, SPF30, $52: Okay, so here’s the deal with this item: Its vegan, its ALL NATURAL, its hypoallergenic, its lightweight, its got SPF, and its water resistant for 80 minutes. That’s all great, but I really didn’t think the pricetag was worth it. If you are a “no makeup, makeup look” kinda gal, then give it a whirl. Otherwise, I’d say pass.

Lune + Aster CC Cream, SPF50, $52: Before SPF in foundations was as popular as it is, this was my go to. Literally, this product was the first makeup product I fell in love with that has SPF in it. The reason I was introduced to it was because I had just gotten my first profractional laser treatment (READ ALL ABOUT THAT HERE) and my doctor said that I must wear SPF50 NO MATTER WHAT for 90 days….and once I found this, it was like an incredible 2-in-1 moment for me! The coverage is medium, the finish is dewy AF (just how I like it), and IT HAS HYALURONIC ACID SO THAT’S JUST A CHERRY ON TOP. If you’ve ever been a loyal Laura Mercier Tinted Moisurizer gal, then you’ll die over how great this product is.

YSL Touche Eclat All-In-One-Glow, SPF23, $48: If you are looking for an oil-free product that also delivers a dewy, medium coverage finish, then this is probably right up your alley. In my opinion, this is VERY SIMILAR to the It Cosmetics Full Coverage Moisturizer, but its got a little less coverage, its a little more expensive, and it doesn’t have as much SPF.

YSL All Hours Foundation, SPF20, $58: I initially fell in love with this product when I had a makeup artist do my glam for a gala….and the initial attraction was the fact that it stayed put from 5pm till midnight! I texted the makeup artist the next morning and asked for the exact shade because I HAD TO OWN IT for when I needed a long-wearing formula…but in a very pleasant turn of events, imagine my surprise when I discovered that it also had SPF20!

YSL Le Teint Radiance Awakening Foundation, SPF22, $54: Where my dry girls at who want 8-hour, buildable foundation?! So this product is EXACTLY THAT. Its not a cc cream or a tinted moisturizer, but an actual foundation that keeps you hydrated. You can layer it to create a minimal to maximum coverage that you desire, plus it stays put & won’t settle or look matte/cakey later in the day.

Hourglass Illusion Hyaluronic Skin Tint, SPF15, $58: Let’s be honest, SPF15 is pretty worthless, but hell, its better than nothing I guess?! The reason I jumped at purchasing this product is because of the amount of hyaluronic acid that it has & how much it promotes the ability to plump the skin while also creating a minimal veil of coverage. The verdict? While my skin DID IN FACT feel plump and hydrated, I didn’t really love the coverage. I would put this item into more of the highlighter category…as in, I’d mix it with a concealer…because its more glowing than veiling in terms of coverage.

Amorepacific Age Perfecting Foundation Cushion, SPF25, $80: Okay, so I know the price is absoultely ridiculous, but this is by far ONE OF THE BEST anti-aging foundations I have tried. The coverage is lightweight (think: milky liquid to powder) and B.E.A.U.T.I.F.U.L. Your pores are gone, you’re treating your skin with skincare essentials while wearing a full coverage foundation (mind blown!), and there’s an SPF to boast. The color range isn’t impressive and it’s always out of stock, but if you can get your hands on it, consider yourself #blessed.

I really love my Dior Glow Foundation!
I mix it with IT CC cream sometimes but now that it’s summer I normally just stick with the CC cream for day to day.

I also have dry and sensitive skin. Which foundation do you use that works best for your skin ? I’m tired of buying foundations that break out my skin

I LOVE this!! Thanks for the tip with Lune & Aster!! I’ll be purchasing it because I loved the tinted moisturizer by Laura Mercier.

IT cosmetics CC Cream is absolutely a win- 100% agreed! My only hang up is the price- use it sparingly, frugal friends! And yes- when it’s almost out, and stops pumping, cut the top, and baggy it. Lol… it’s THAT good. 🙂
